I understand taking a path that allows you to keep a job that pays the bills while still being involved in the arts. That's certainly what I'm doing. However, don't ever lose interest in creating and getting your work shown merely because you think it "rarely works." Art is about being unafraid and charging straightforward regardless what the eventual outcome may be.
